Description
Summary:The main objectives of this research are to identify the nature of effects existing: (a) among sub-cultural groups and managers’ learning styles; (b) among sub-cultural groups and their performance development methods; (c) in the nature of the relationship between learning styles and performance development methods. The research also aims: (d) to determine if a manager’s sub-cultural group influences the relationship between learning styles and performance development methods, and (e) to determine if demographic and organizational variables affect managers’ use of the various learning styles and performance development methods. By recognizing the nature of similarities and differences among the learning styles of different sub-cultural groups, and in identifying how the different learning styles relate to managers’ preferred performance development methods, findings from this study can help companies to adopt appropriate management strategies for enhancing their employee and corporate performance. Companies can then use the findings to improve their managers’ performance by using the appropriate training and skills development methods that are relevant to their learning styles.
