Summary: | The purpose of this study is to compare the translation done by the author of this paper with
existing published translation and machine translation on a multiple bestseller. Through this
comparison, the author identified several issues in the translation process and discussed them
in detail. Some notable differences among the translations were also highlighted and the
underlying reasons were discussed in detail. This exploration highlighted the numerous
challenges a translator has to face and identified blind-spots in the author’s own translation
style. |
