Summary:The purpose of this study is to compare the translation done by the author of this paper with existing published translation and machine translation on a multiple bestseller. Through this comparison, the author identified several issues in the translation process and discussed them in detail. Some notable differences among the translations were also highlighted and the underlying reasons were discussed in detail. This exploration highlighted the numerous challenges a translator has to face and identified blind-spots in the author’s own translation style.
