Description
Summary:With the growing market of digital games over the recent decade, Augmented Reality (AR) technology has the potential to bring new light to traditionally non-digital games. The purpose of this project is to develop an Android AR game application that implements AR functionality on a Collectible Card Game (CCG), a type of turn-based game originally set in a physical tabletop format. For this reason, the application hopes to attract young people, such as teens and young adults, as the primary user demographic of the existing CCG community. A prototype stage of the game has been developed in which players will be able to set up a local multiplayer match, load AR content and perform actions according with cards of their choice. This report covers game design, software and artistic development of the game centred around using the Unity Engine.
