Summary: | With global warming becoming a world scale concern, many countries have therefore pledged for carbon neutrality, looking for ways to on reducing carbon emissions, with the implementation of Electric Vehicles being one of such major considerations.
With wider usage of electric vehicles, users would tend to look for various ways to improve the drive performance of their vehicles to the capabilities such as various road conditions and starting up speed.
Therefore, this final year project would focus on the development of High-Performance Drive Control for Electric Vehicles analyzing control methods such as Proportional-Integral Control and Deadbeat Predictive Current Control, utilizing a derived mathematical model of the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) for the simulation of this study.
The results will then be used to compare the control methods and determine how the control methods can be utilized in the drive control for electric vehicles. |
