Description
Summary:Patients who have suffered a stroke often experience some degree of impairment in some aspects of their bodies. In many cases, patients undergo rehabilitation in order to improve their condition. Researchers have found that dual-task rehabilitation is effective at improving stroke patients' conditions. While studies have been conducted on the effect of simultaneous rehabilitative training on motor and cognitive functions and found it to be effective, this training does not involve robots. H-Man is a robot created for the rehabilitation of upper limb rehabilitation. It consists of a handle that can move freely in the x and y-axis. The H-Man robot is used to play rehabilitation games specially crafted for patients. The effect of simultaneous rehabilitative training with the aid of a robot, H-Man, was investigated in this study. This paper presents the methodology used in this study as well as the results and discussion of the study.
