随着新媒体的崛起，字幕翻译的需求也与日俱增。可是在字幕翻译的研究，往往关注在电影或戏剧类别。随着冠病-2019在全球大爆发，非娱乐性的视频字幕翻译也开始备受瞩目。其中一大类别便是宗教字幕翻译。对此，这也导致了本地宗教字幕翻译逐渐地受学者关注。本文将透过个案研究的方法，以新加坡神之心教会为研究对象，着重探讨该和分析教会在YouTube上传视频的字幕。 为了能够尽可能地涵盖不同的范围和内容，本文将采用来自四个不同视频的字幕进行分析。字幕的重点在于能够准确和忠实地传递原文的内容。为此，本文会以尤金·奈达（Eugene Nida）所提出的功能理论为基础，探讨教会字幕是否在功能上呼应原文，也会以吕叔湘所提出的英汉翻译问题提出建议，作为新加坡教会译者翻译的指导方针。 关键词：新加坡英语教会 文化翻译 字幕翻译 功能对等论 With the rise of new media, the demand for subtitle translation is increasing day by day. However, the study of subtitle translation often focuses on the film or drama category. With the global outbreak of COVID-19, non-entertainment video subtitle translation has attracted much attention. One such category is religious subtitle translation. As a result, local religious subtitle translation has attracted more and more attention from scholars. This paper will focus on a case study of the Heart of God Church in Singapore and analyse the subtitle of the video uploaded by the church on YouTube. In order to cover different scope and content as much as possible, this paper will use subtitles from four different videos for analysis. The key of subtitles is to accurately and faithfully convey the content of the original text. Therefore, based on the functional theory proposed by Eugene Nida, this paper will explore whether the subtitle of the church echoes the original text in function. It will also make suggestions on the English-Chinese translation issues raised by Lu Shuxiang(吕叔湘), which will serve as guidelines for church translators in Singapore.
