Description
Summary:A high speed comparator is a fundamental computation element for most of the digital systems such as microprocessors or digital signal processors. Various comparator designs will be studied and analysed. These include priority-encoding-based comparators, pipelined comparators, among others, available in the literature. Performance comparisons will be done using extensive simulations on Cadence, Mentor or HSpice. New design techniques for comparators will also be explored.
