Summary:In this report, investigation of emission from semiconductors and nanostructures is studied. This is done with the help of photoluminescence set up provided in the lab. The report will cover the detailed procedure for an experiment set up to measure the electrical and optical measurement of semiconductor nanostructure. The measurement is done under different injection current and at different temperature. This report also investigates the emission with the help of laser. Laser source is used to excite the electrons from the samples and the corresponding emissions are investigated. This report also conducts a research study in the topics like quantum dot and quantum wells. These two properties of semiconductors got much importance in photo electronics. Also suggest an improvement in the current testing method and problems to tackle in the future study.
