The challenge is an international competition, where students are invited to compete to build an unmanned surface vehicle (USV) on the Wave-Adaptive Modular Vessel. This report provides an overview of developing a ball-launcher for Team Nanyang Technological University that may be used for the upcoming competition. It analyses ball launcher system used by past participants from previous RobotX Competition and taking reference from their past solutions and develop a ball-launcher system based on them. The report also documents the thought and decision-making process when developing a ball launcher system and shows the challenges faced during the development. The report contains the designs, calculations for various parts, development of motion control of motors and assembly of the ball-launcher.
