Summary:This dissertation describes action research carried out in implementing Structured Teaching for a case study student with autism. The setting for this study was in a special education classroom for intellectually disabled students. The aim of the dissertation was to record whether the implementation of Structured Teaching would result in improved work performances of the student with autism in the researcher's class. The action research methodology was adapted from Schoen and Bullard (2002) and Schoen and Nolen (2004).
