My research shows that existence and perpetuation of domestic abuse is rooted in patriarchal practices, legal initiatives of the state and the social construction of the meanings of domestic abuse. In order to effectively deal with the complex nature of domestic abuse and hence eradicate it, an active cooperation is needed to be fostered between social, political and cultural factors.
