Summary: | It is not uncommon to see medical students flipping through thick medical books and journals in search of a medical symptom or condition. Physicians were overwhelmed with tremendous amount of information. It’s impossible for them to memorize every single detail in the book. Thus, past generations of clinicians had equipped themselves with compact medical handbooks available. Searching through the wall of text in medical publications for the right contents to focus on had always been a problem.
The rise of comprehensive mobile platforms such as Android and iOS had spark the idea of creating innovative and user friendly medical reference applications. Although the current applications available in the market had resolved some of the problems and improve patient care, it still had flaws such as ease of accessing information and lack of images.
The application intends to be an open source publication platform for medical publishing. Clinically-relevant medical literature will be collected from qualified medical professionals. The new application aims to overcome problems that the clinicians are facing. It will be easy to read, easy to access, content to be comprehensive and freely available to everyone. |
