Two time-lagged surveys were administered to 316 recent graduates of the Nanyang Business School, and statistical regression analyses were performed on the data collected from respondents who had completed both surveys (n=86). Our results yielded evidence that positive framing, sensemaking and relationship building are influenced by proactive personality, and that they can affect newcomers’ intentions to leave the organization through person-environment fit (PE fit). These findings allow organizations to identify the variables influencing turnover intention among newcomers.
