The two main issues of the project are the impact of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) curbs on the car industry and the search for constructive means to improve the existing car financing schemes in Singapore. Introduction will be first presented to give the readers a general idea of the objectives and motivations behind the project. Subsequently, the report will be structured in the following manner. In the first part, the impact of MAS curbs on the car industry, an overview of credit decision process and an analysis of some existing car financing schemes offered by various finance companies in Singapore are highlighted. In the second part, description of the car survey carried out as a mean of sourcing for valuable ideas to improve the existing car financing schemes in the market is given. This is then followed by the presentation of the recommendations to improve the existing car schemes and their justifications. Last but not least, the conclusion section will round up the whole study by giving the readers a good recall of the important aspects of the study.
