This report includes the basic of how a battery management system works and what are the current battery balancing techniques, it will identify some of the problem of these balancing techniques and provide an unique solution to this problem by introducing a new method of balancing of the cell which can be incorporated into the current techniques in hope of improving the lifespan of the battery pack. The author will provide the reason of the components selected to be use to design the circuitry and draw the schematic of the circuit which will be use in the experiment. The connectivity test and functionality test will also be done to ensure the functionality of the components in the circuit. The author will also be required write the software to prove the idea of switching and data are to be logged for debugging of the error of cell. description |
This project was performed to prove a new concept of battery management in the
battery pack of an electric vehicle or any high capacity multi-cell battery operated
machinery. This report includes the basic of how a battery management system
works and what are the current battery balancing techniques, it will identify some of
the problem of these balancing techniques and provide an unique solution to this
problem by introducing a new method of balancing of the cell which can be incorporated
into the current techniques in hope of improving the lifespan of the battery
pack.
The author will provide the reason of the components selected to be use to design the
circuitry and draw the schematic of the circuit which will be use in the experiment.
The connectivity test and functionality test will also be done to ensure the functionality
of the components in the circuit. The author will also be required write the software
to prove the idea of switching and data are to be logged for debugging of the
error of cell. |
