探究新加坡大学生性观念与性知识程度 = A study on sexual knowledge and attitudes of undergraduates in Singapore

诸多亚洲社会在面对“性”的课题时往往抱持着避而不谈，颇为保守的态度。然而，随着全球化的进程日益加快，许多亚洲国家都受到了西方文化的影响，人民的性态度已渐渐开方，我国也不例外。许多调查数据证明，我国青少年的性观念已逐渐开放，然而性知识程度却差强人意。这直接证明了我国性教育制度的缺失。本文通过调查问卷的方式，以100名在籍大学生作为研究对象，了解现今大学生的性态度，获取性知识偏好及性知识程度的情形，从而为教育部及其它相关机构提供参考。 Asian societies are well-known for their conservative approach towards topics related to sex. With the rise of globalization, this attitude is bound to experience a significant change. The increased exposure of Western cultures has resulted in a shift of sexual attitudes in our society over the years. This is especially true for our teens, as several studies have shown that an increasing number of youths are now engaging in sexual acts at a younger age, proving that sexual attitudes have liberalized significantly among teens these days. However, several studies have also reflected that these teens are not equipped with adequate knowledge on sexual health awareness. This could be due to a lack of a relevant and comprehensive sex education system in Singapore. As such, this paper aims to find out the sexual attitudes of current undergraduates in Singapore, their sources of information about sex and their sexual health awareness level. The results of this study will serve as important references for the Ministry of Education and other relevant organisations.
