Summary:Efficient utilisation of limited retail space is a problem faced by many provision shops. Due to intense competition and rapid increase in new products, retailers are compelled to evaluate their existing space management. This project undertakes a study of 2 provision shops to provide insights to address the above-mentioned problem. The data collected were used to generate a set of proposed planograms, specific to the 2 provision shops concerned. Upon the study, it is submitted that planogramming is a viable technique that provision shops can adopt In conclusion, it is recommended that franchise chains consider the acquisition of a computerised space management software.
