Description
Summary:Over the past years, the rapid emergence of the Chinese consumers as one of the driving forces behind the global luxury goods market has increasingly drawn the attention of Media and consulting firms. However, the academic literature has only recently begun to research on the topic, and mainly from business and marketing perspectives. As a result, this dissertation investigates China's growing appetite for luxury goods from a different angle, analyzing two factors that can explain why the Chinese consumers have rapidly become fundamental actors in the global luxury market.
