Computer aided stress analysis of pressure vessel
A theoretical elastic stress analysis of a spherical pressure vessel with both integral and pad reinforcement with a nozzle (in the form of a cylindrical branch) was carried out when under an internal pressure. A computer program had been written to compute the stresses for design purposes.
