从目的论分析电影幽默字幕英翻中翻译策略 :以《马达加斯加 3》为例 = English to Chinese translation of humorous movie subtitles from the perspective of Skopos theory : a case study of Madagascar 3
电影中的幽默元素是在商业电影里常见的元素之一,也是西方文化的重要组成部分。电影类型各种各样,其中喜剧电影具有丰富的幽默元素,其它电影也包含了一定的幽默元素,目的在于提供娱乐信息且通过幽默翻译达到跨文化交流。目前西方电影大量涌入新加坡,到处可见,如果影片中缺少幽默,西方电影有丧失本土市场的风险。可见,影片中的幽默元素主宰电影的成功与否。但在国内的外国影视翻译研究中,往往只是把它作为翻译策略匆匆带过,缺乏系统的界定。译者在进行幽默字幕翻译策略过程中必须考虑诸多方面的因素,如翻译目的、目的语观众、文化与语言因素等,能动地采取相应的翻译策略再现源语的娱乐信息并体现幽默效果。美国梦工厂动画片《马达加斯卡...

Summary: | 电影中的幽默元素是在商业电影里常见的元素之一,也是西方文化的重要组成部分。电影类型各种各样,其中喜剧电影具有丰富的幽默元素,其它电影也包含了一定的幽默元素,目的在于提供娱乐信息且通过幽默翻译达到跨文化交流。目前西方电影大量涌入新加坡,到处可见,如果影片中缺少幽默,西方电影有丧失本土市场的风险。可见,影片中的幽默元素主宰电影的成功与否。但在国内的外国影视翻译研究中,往往只是把它作为翻译策略匆匆带过,缺乏系统的界定。译者在进行幽默字幕翻译策略过程中必须考虑诸多方面的因素,如翻译目的、目的语观众、文化与语言因素等,能动地采取相应的翻译策略再现源语的娱乐信息并体现幽默效果。美国梦工厂动画片《马达加斯卡 3》于2012年热烘于新加坡,赢得了本地众多观众的好评,其系列片也一直受到不少人的钟爱。这部电影将幽默元素表现得淋漓尽致,电影中的动物们也被赋予了较强的人性化特征,故事曲折离奇,引人入胜。本文以《马达加斯卡3》作为个案研究,从目的论的角度分析影片中幽默字幕的翻译策略,并且探索当中的字幕翻译如何有效地传递娱乐信息,达到影视中所体现的幽默效果,而且在文化与语言因素之下研究并分析本土幽默字幕翻译策略的处理。The humorous lines found in the particular film are one of the most conventional factors of commercial films. Humour is considered to constitute a great proportion in the western society. As know by all, there are considerable diversity in the style of films, and humour is undoubtedly the major and the crucial component when it comes to comedies. In fact, humour is widely used in any kind of non-comedy films. The idea is that the commercial studios might be exposed to the risk of losing revenues in the film industry. Singapore is currently flooded with western films, but the local researchers of foreign screenplay translation often botches their work, lack of systematic structure. While working on subtitles translating works, translators try to find out corresponding translation method and transmits humour based on translation target, target audience, cultural and linguistic factors. The animation Madagascar 3 produced by DreamWorks Studios in 2012. The Madagascar 3 fetched the public and its series has been known to be over the top. This film filled with humour, edgy jokes and plenty of laughs for kids and adults. By studying the movie Madagascar 3, this thesis aims to analyse the humorous subtitle translation strategies, and also examine how does translation strategies brings out humour effectively. Moreover, this thesis analyse the methods that Singapore takes to translate these westernised humours found in the films, transmits to the local audience and, the hazards and limitations faced during the process are worth to explore. |
