Photographs of an object can be captured within the application using the device’s built-in camera, or selected from existing images on the device. These photographs will then be transferred to a laptop computer using Bluetooth. The laptop computer executes a structure from motion algorithm which reconstructs the object digitally as a three-dimensional mesh. The resulting mesh is sent back to the device via Bluetooth, and can then be opened with other applications, or transferred to other devices for modelling or printing.
