It is important that safety measurements are taken to avoid this equipment from turning into a danger to the public. The odds of a UAV crashing into a human can be minimized if the UAV is able to detect humans. This is possible if we program the UAV to do so. The aim of this project is to program the UAV to avoid human at near range, around the human height. The result of this project will be able to provide a safer environment around the area the UAV is flying. From the experiment conducted, it shows that the program works best when people are nearer to the camera. There are also other factors that will affect the Human Detection program, some of which is the quality of the camera and the lighting condition of the surroundings.
