1980年代后中国外国文学的翻译与出版 ：以“译林出版社”为例 = Translation and publication of foreign literature after 1980s in China : a case study on "yilin press"

本论文主要研究论述中国江苏南京译林出版社的外国文学翻译与出版。翻译学家安德烈·勒菲弗尔（André Lefevere）ᨀ出，在翻译过程中，译者应以关注原作和译本之间所发生的“文化转向”(cultural turn)为研究视角，而不应仅限于追求译本对原作内容和形式上的忠实一致，因而ᨀ出“翻译对文学名声的操控”以及“翻译即改写”等相关理论。基于上述理论的特点和重 要性，本文以勒菲弗尔的理论为基础框架，插入有关“意识形态”、“操纵”、“赞助人”等系统理论关键词，并结合以色列学者伊塔马·埃文·佐哈尔（Itamar Even-Zohar）“文学多元系统”（polysystem theory）理论,探究译林出版社在三个不同时期（1989-1992、1992-2000、2000－2014）外国文学出版特色，并通过勒菲弗尔“影响翻译的三种基本力量理论”对三部作品（《追忆似水年华》、《尤利西斯》、《魔戒》）进行了分析。译林出版社的外国文学翻译出版活动在新时期中国出版史上有重要作用和地位，它影响了中国现代翻译文学出版业，成为同时期中国翻译出版机构的代表和典型。《追忆似水年华》、《尤利西斯》、《魔戒》在中国的“再经典化”过程，让我们重新审视外国翻译文学出版对研究外国文学翻译活动的意义。 The target of this research is the publishing of translated literature of Nanjing Yilin Press. André Lefevere is the leading representative of the Manipulation School, he proposes that translators should not only be faithful to the original text but also have to focus on the culture turn between the target language and the original text. With this statement, he came up with a series of theories, which include “translation is rewriting”, and “the manipulation of translation on literary fame”. Based on the characteristics and the importance of the theories above, the theories used will focus on some key words such as “ideology”, “manipulation”, “patron”, etc. Together with the Polysystem Theory by Itamar Even Zohar, this paper intends to take Lefevere’s three basic theories to research three foreign literatures, which are In Search of Lost Time, Ulysses and The Lord of the Rings. Yilin press plays an important role in China in the new era. It greatly influenced the new period’s publishing of translated literature. Under the political and culture changes, the process of three foreign literatures’ canonized to recanonization in modern times makes us revalue the important role of publishing of translated literature to the research of foreign literature translation activities in China.
