你甲饱未? ：论新加坡方言节目《吃饱没》的字幕翻译策略 = A study on translation strategies : dialect subtitles translation in "Eat Already?"

新加坡方言节目从“禁”到“限”的语境里，看出了被边缘化的方言仍有顽强的生命力。2000年后，本地政府似乎放宽了方言节目的限制，针对年长一辈，以熟悉的方言传达重要的政府政策。新加坡作为多元种族和祖籍的国家，对于方言电视节目而言，人物对白的字幕翻译极为重要，它能弥补由不同方言和华语差异而导致的信息传播障碍，从而让不同方言语者及非方言的电视观众观赏节目。方言字幕要如何在强化地方方言韵味的同时，也有效地传播讯息。本文将以2016年开播的全方言节目《吃饱没》为研究案例，分析当中的方言字幕翻译，并且探讨新加坡方言节目的走向。Since the introduction of the Speak Mandarin Campaign in 1979 to unify local Chinese with one single language, dialect programming on free-to-air TV has been wiped out. However, an info-educational drama series “Eat Already?”, said to be the first Chinese dialect series since 1979, was premiered in 2016 with aim to better communicate Government policies and information to seniors in a vernacular they are familiar with. With Singapore being a multi-racial and multi-language society, it is important for the subtitles to bridge a dialect film’s multiple semiotic mode, in order to bring the messages across and allow audiences to appreciate the film. This paper studies the translation strategies used in the subtitling of dialect film “Eat Already?” , and will further discuss on the future of dialect films in Singapore.
