Summary:There are many stroke rehabilitation machines that are available for machine assisted therapy. However, almost all the machines are bulky, heavy and can only be found in hospitals. There is a rising need for the development of lighter and more cost-efficient machines that is for domestic use. While the deployment of the current H-Man in hospitals has eliminated the cost factor, the domestic applications has not been explored. To enable domestic use, the transition from a bulky wired system to a portable wireless system must be implemented while retaining its primary functions. The user interface of the new system should also be similar and serve the same purpose as its predecessor. This paper will present the design and thought process, as well as provide evaluations and discussions of the prototypes mentioned. Possible improvements and recommendations of future work can also be found to further the efficiency and overall feasibility of the wireless rehabilitation machine beyond the time frame of this project.
