Other than the cleaning devices, Smart Phones Apps which are designed to control the devices have also massively developing over the years. Furthermore, close to every single person have a smart phone which can be used as a controller for such Smart Cleaning devices to ease the burden to have to control any device physically. This final year project is to develop and create a robotic vacuum cleaner which can be remotely controlled by an Android application. It covers the research of the device and components needed. Besides alternatives of the component usages are considered and methods to replace the optional features in the vacuum cleaner is discussed. The focus of this project is to create a vacuum cleaner which is relatively cheaper compared to the devices that can be found in the current market. It includes the background study, vacuum cleaner design, application development and prototype testing.
