Description
Summary:This paper demonstrates the variety of movement states of the Madagascar hissing cockroach (Gromphadorhina Portentosa) under stimulation on twelve parts of the abdominal area – two parts at one time. Different combinations were tested out on both sides of the abdominal area along with varying voltage amplitude at fixed parameters. An in-depth analysis of the results was performed to further understand the trends of the path taken by the specimen under various stimuli. These findings offer promise for alternatives in controlling bio-bots besides using implantations on the antenna and the cerci.
