Investigation of the factors influencing female undergraduates' slimming activities.
The phenomenon of females attempting to lose weight even though they are not overweight is a common one in the Asia-Pacific region. In this research, we investigate three factors that may drive this phenomenon: self-esteem, public self-consciousness and exposure to “thin-ideal” media.
