Summary:The objective of this independent study was to study job satisfaction of generation Y employees at Mae Moh Power Plant, Lampang Province. The population was 464 generation Y employees with work period not exceeding 5 years. The tool for collecting data was questionnaire. The analysis was based on the concept by Herzberg’s Two Factor Theory and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, namely frequency, percentage and mean. The results of the study showed that most employees were male, 26-30 years old, single, with diploma/vocational certificate. They were level 3 technicians. Their work period was 3-4 years. Most employees worked in operational department. Their monthly income was 15,000-20,000 baht. Most had previous work experience. The reason for choosing Mae Moh Power Plant was security, near their home and family. The employees showed high level of satisfaction toward the overall work factors. Their satisfaction towards supporting factors was at the high level, in the following order: relations with peers and subordinators, job security, personal life, relations with supervision, status, working condition, supervision, company policy and administration, and compensation and welfares. Their satisfaction towards motivation factors was at the high level, in the following order: achievement, responsibility, work itself, advancement and recognition.
