Since 1813 until 1925, this bridge was used for coal transportation. However, in 2003, the coal transportation through the bridge was stopped due to the depletion of the coal supply. Therefore, the particular corridor needs a bridge revitalization design. This bridge will be revitalized, with a new function, ie loading passengers for easy access to Minangkabau International Airport. The planning involves determining effective construction methods, project scheduling, and project cost estimation to achieve the main objectives of the planning ie, timely, cost, and quality. <br /> <br /> <br /> The planning of the bridge’s construction method begins with preparatory work. Then proceed with the work of the bridge’s substructures which includes the foundation of a cast-in-situ bored pile, pile cap, and abutment. The bridge’s superstructure works consist of pier and pier head which will be cast in place, as well as PCI prestressed girder, diaphragm, and bridge deck which will be manufactured in precast segments. The latter work is the railway track that consists of a ballast layer, concrete pads, steel rail tracks, and rail joints in the form of electrode welding. <br /> <br /> <br /> Based on project scheduling planning, the total duration of the construction project is 111 days, the calculation of duration is based on two types of work, which are the work with the lead resource of heavy equipment and work with the lead resource of labors. Apart from duration, the critical path that rises up from project schedule must be considered in anticipation of project delays. <br /> <br /> <br /> For the project cost estimation, it is done by planning consultants, and the output is Engineer’s Estimate which will be used by the owner for the bidding and construction process. The cost estimation is conducted using analysis of unit prices in accordance with SNI 2008 on Unit Pricing Analysis for Building Construction. The estimated cost of the construction project is Rp 13.093.420.000; which already includes the direct and indirect costs of the project. text |
