Summary:Nowadays, movie is one of the most important thing for most people. Movie can be seen as an entertainment to relieve stress. Movie can also be seen as an industry which open many opportunities for society. Furthermore, movie can be seen as an art that can educate, inspire, or even make a change in the world. This final project explains the mathematics model for the influence of some factors that cause a movie become well-known. There are two considered factors: advertisement and word-ofmouth. Advertisement is an act that have a purpose of promoting something, and word-of-mouth is a method of giving information directly from a person to another person. Using SIR model of epidemics, the equilibrium points will be analyzed to determine the system is stable or not. The next step is to do some numeric simulations for some cases. Advertisement and word-of-mouth can cause an increase of population of movie addicts. However, advertisement can cause people who are bored become susceptive again. A spatial simulation for word-of-mouth method will then be showed to find the characteristics of the method.
