Description
Summary:Some students still experience difficulties in learning Mathematics, especially for students in early education who has special needs and behaviors. This research focus on designing an interaction of a mobile app that can be utilized in learning mathematics for kids. The result of this research is a high-fidelity prototype of mobile learning applications with mathematical content for students in the first grade of elementary school designed with user-centered design approach. Testing has been carried out directly to students in the first grade of elementary school using the usability testing method. The interaction design of the prototype is designed to provide the effective, efficient and easy to learn as the usability goals and provide helpful and fun as the user experience. The test results show that the prototype has interactive interactions and interfaces that are fit with the characteristics of target users. From the scale of 5.0, user gave a score of 4.5 for effectiveness, 4.75 for efficiency and 4.75 for ease of learning how to use the prototype. With the same scale, user also gives a score of 4.65 for helpful and 4.63 for fun as the user experience of the final prototype. Animation, sound and the simplicity of the interaction are the most important things that need to be included in the design for kids.
