Summary:<b>Abstract :</b><p align=\"justify\">PT. VICO Indonesia is a company that operate in petroleum industry. All activities in PT VICO Indonesia, as petroleum company, is aimed to production phase. To reach production phase, there are several phase should be done, they are: drilling site location preparation, drilling, flow line installation and tie in to production line. <br /> <p align=\"justify\"> <br /> The above explanation indicates that drilling site preparation is very important activity Activity in drilling site preparation use heavy equipment as main equipment. Problem emerge when the quantity of the equipment dan available time for planning activity is very limited Objective of this research is to make heavy equipment management model that can be used as decision support system. It is expected that application of the model will help manager to make planning activity for drilling site preparation efficiently and accurately. <br /> <p align=\"justify\"> <br /> Basically, process for developing the model consist of 2 main phase : heavy equipment selection and optimization. Equipment selection depend on site criteria, where each site criteria has specific characteristic that determined the equipment selection. Subsequent phase, that is optimization phase, using dynamic programming application, which output is the best equipment composition to be allocated to a specific area/ site, considering limitation on schedule and budget. <br /> <p align=\"justify\"> <br /> The model will be implemented on software prototype with database technology, so it is expected that the model can be integrated to company automation system.
