Determination of these residues needs an analytical method which could determine analyte up to ppm level. In this research, the cathodic stripping voltammetry method with a hanging mercury dropping electrode as working electrode, an Ag/AgCl electrode as reference electrode,

a platine electrode as auxiliary electrode was applied to analyze residual sulfadiazine in chicken liver. Sulfadiazine in a phosphate buffer solution of pH 10 was analyzed by this method, giving the peak current at -1488 mV. This method gave a limit of detection of 0,24 ppm, as well as a limit of quantification of 0,8 ppm. text
