Description
Summary:Abstract: Loa Bakung Integrated Waste Processing Site (TPST) Loa Bakung is located at Jl. Jakarta, Loa Bakung Sub-district, Sungai Kunjang District, Samarinda City. TPST Loa Bakung has area of 860.25 m2. Waste management in TPST Loa Bakung is running poorly and not optimally. There are abandoned facilities, inadequate supporting facilities, and not optimal waste process. The service area of TPST Loa Bakung includes 56 RT from 83 RT in Loa Bakung sub-district. From sampling results, waste generation of TPST Loa Bakung is 0.26 kg/person/day by mass or 2.69 liter/person/day by volume. TPST Loa Bakung is planned to have facilities for sorting areas, processing organic waste, handling inorganic waste, and handling residual waste. At the end of the operational year, which is 2033, TPST Loa Bakung is planned to have a capacity of 5,500 kg/day. Sorting is done manually with the help of conveyor belt. inorganic waste that is sorted are paper, recycleable plastics, glass and metal, with a total waste generation of 843 kg/day. Segregated inorganic waste will be sold to third parties. The organic waste that will be processed is 1,734 kg/day, processed with open windrow composting technology. Untreated waste and other residues will be put into 6 m3 containers and transported to landfill by arm roll truck twice per day. Based on the calculation of the Net Present Value, if the compost sold is 60% of the total compost produced, then the NPV value obtained is greater than 0 or has a positive value, with a value of Rp. 1,278,897,610.77. From the NPV value, the design of capacity building of TPST Loa Bakung can be said to be economically feasible and can operate independently, with an annual waste processing profit of Rp. 168,894.12/ton. The design of this capacity building will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 44.9%.
