Summary: | In this era, information technology is becoming increasingly service-oriented. Each
service has components that support its running both in terms of hardware, software,
or the people involved in managing it. The many components that support a service
make an organization sometimes unable to manage it manually. This also happens to
the Directorate of Information Technology Bandung Institute of Technology (DTI
ITB), which is a organization with a role as a service provider and data manager related
to information technology at the Bandung Institute of Technology, and will be the
object of research in completing this final project. The purpose of this final project is
to produce a configuration management database process design that is suitable for
implementation in DTI ITB based on the identification of needs related to current
configuration management and the data model designed. The design will refer to the
ITIL framework and supported by tools provided by the Infosys Research Group which
will be used as a reference. The main result of this final project is the design of
implementing database configuration management in the form of needs and
suggestions and activities that can be carried out so that DTI ITB can implement
database configuration management as part of implementing configuration
management which is useful for optimizing services and their infrastructure. In
addition, the results of the final project are expected to help DTI ITB to reduce incidents
that occur from other ITSM processes. |
