The present study conducted a systematic analysis of extant research on social media users' continuance use intention from the perspective of uses and gratifications theory (U&G). This systematic literature review aims to identify and bridge gaps in topics, theories, variables, and conceptual frameworks in studies of continuance use intention among social media users. The PRISMA method is used to review 18 articles drawn from the Scopus and Google Scholar databases. From the analysis, 14 theories or models other than U&G, and a complete framework of causal relations emerge.
