Building on Clary and Snyder’s functional approach and Ajzen and Fishbein’s compatibility principle, this cross-sectional study tested a hierarchical regression model in order to further understand the influence of both organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) motives towards organizational citizenship behavior towards organizations (OCB-O). Using a total sample of 143 bank employees, this study found support for its hypotheses, confirming that both organizational commitment and OCB motives are indeed respectable antecedents for OCB-O. Specifically, when both organizational commitment and OCB motives were combined in the analysis as predictors, it was discovered that they were able to explain for more variance in OCB-O. Moreover, results of this study also revealed that among the predictors examined, prosocial values motives consistently showed a greater effect towards OCB-O. 2019-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/7123 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Organizational behavior Employee motivation Organizational commitment Industrial and Organizational Psychology
