The topic of inquiry and exploration for this project is Katong Laksa. Laksa, an iconic food in Singapore, is a representation of cultural hybridity. It is a hybrid between the Malay and Chinese cuisine from the Peranakans. This project deconstructs the origin of Laksa and reimagines into an alternate narrative. It aims to encourage Singaporeans, particularly the younger generations, and people around the world to discover more about Singaporean culture through food.
