During the COVID-19 Pandemic, most of the global universities initially closed their physical campus for safety reasons and then gradually allowed students back on campus with social distancing measures in place. One of those measures was a blended learning curriculum where it combined in-person and online learning methods. This project aims to develop and implement an integrated in-class participation tool and self-guided online curriculum to enhance student engagement and learning experience. The in-class participation tool would utilize Google Forms to create an interactive platform for students to participate and receive real-time feedback during lectures, increasing the level of interaction between the students and the teacher. The self-guided online curriculum employs the use of Canvas, a learning management system which provides students with a comprehensive and flexible learning experience. The use of Canvas allowed students to deepen their knowledge of the topics at their own pace. By combining these two components, this project seeks to provide a holistic learning environment that encourages active student participation during lectures and individual study. The goal was to improve student participation and information retention leading to a more effective educational experience for the students. Online learning and blended learning have become more prevalent in the educational field in recent years, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
