Design and building of servo-mechanical movement and positioning system for scanning Kelvin probe workstation Part II : software
This project is to locate cracks on any component surface before it physically happens by using a Kelvin Probe scanning method. Doing so, it can reduce the cost of replacement of the expensive parts in any equipment. In addition, it also reduces the amount of trash produce. This Kelvin Probe Scannin...

This Kelvin Probe Scanning Station is divided into five final year projects, where this report consists of analysis and works done for the final year project entitled: Building of Kelvin Probe Workstation: Software. An introduction on how Kelvin Probe workstation detects crack on component’s surface and the objective of this final year project is being explained. Then, brief descriptions on the project management will be discussed. Following there will be an overview of the system as well as the devices/software used in the workstation will be described. Next, the program implemented to operate the workstation will be illustrate and explained in detail. At the end of this report, varies problems faced during this project and the solutions to it will be illustrated. Subsequently, future implementations are being suggested to further enhance the system. Lastly, it will end with conclusions on the author’s experience and knowledge gains.
