Description
Summary:The most conventional aid used by the visually impaired in navigating their way around is by using the walking stick, also known as White Cane. The White Cane can detect obstacles that are at ground level, or just slightly above ground level. We present a solution that can help in this problem, by using head mounted camera obstacle detection camera, which assists the user in sensing obstacles that are in face of them as well as on ground level. The aim of the report will be focusing on the development of the obstacle detection system, for aiding the visually impaired using depth sensing by a stereo camera system.
