《译文》(《世界文学》)是1950-1960年代中国大陆唯一公开发行的专门译介外国文学作品的期刊,也是一份由中国作家协会主办的国家级外国文学刊物。建国之初,随着新的主流意识形态的形成,翻译工作被组织化、计划化。本文将通过发掘出来的新史料,以建国初政治文化语境为背景,考察《译文》(《世界文学》)的创刊原因、创办之初的基本情况、编辑部的运作方式及工作过程,以此深入观察在特定的政治文化语境下,翻译活动与主流意识形态的互动。Owned by the Chinese Writers Association,Yi Wen(or ShijieWenxue since 1959) was the only state-sponsored journal publishing foreign literature in mainland China in the 1950s and 1960s.With the formation of new mainstream ideology after the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949,translation activities were largely planned and organized.Based on newly-discovered historical materials,this paper examines the founding process and the operation of Yi Wen or ShijieWenxue in its early days in order to gain insight into the interaction between translation and mainstream ideology against a specific social-political background.
