Description
Summary:As a country located at the confluence of 3 (three) major tectonic plates, making Indonesia has the potential earth heat large as that of 29,000 MW. Geothermal Energy is the green energy and sustainable energy, where the injection of water into the reservoir is an activity that needs to be done (if the water balance in a reservoir of water vapor not met), so the availability and water needs in the area of Geothermal Power Plant (PLTP) Kamojang concern especially with the development units of a new power plant. A method of hydrometeorology F. J. Mock used to conduct the analysis and to determine the amount of run off (surface water) in the area of PLTP Kamojang using rainfall data on average monthly. And calculation of Darcy's law is used to determine the potential availability of water.

The results obtained in this research is to know the availability and water needs in the area of PLTP Kamojang (especially in the Sub-DAS Cikaro) had an average of the availability of surface water in the month wet (November - May) as much as 940,21 million liters/ year and the month dry (June - October) as much as 352,05 million liters/ year. And with the Unit V (capacity 30 MW) as a development unit of the new power plants in the area of PLTP Kamojang, it needs water every month will be increased by 0.16 million litres/ month.
