الملخص:This study aims at determining the factors which impact second-year mainstream students‟ motivation in their speaking lessons at Faculty of English Language Teacher Education, ULIS – VNUH. In order to achieve this aim, the researcher would like to shed light on the following matters. Firstly, the researcher wants to figure out the types of factors, including external and internal factors that affect second-year mainstream students‟ motivation in their speaking lessons. Secondly, an attempt is made to examine the effect of the given external and internal factors on second-year mainstream students‟ motivation as perceived by both the students and their teachers
