Description
Summary:This paper presents a quantitative method for studying Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as predicted by personality traits and work values using a hierarchical multiple regression model. The study was conducted to 177 participants and rendered results of personality traits having a moderate positive relationship with the values R=.64, R2=.4210, F (1,175) = 127.28,p > .05 in predicting OCB, work values having a weak positive relationship with R=.53, R2 = .2830, F (1,175) = 69.085, p < .05 and the aggregation of both independent variables having a strong positive relationship R=.70, R2 = .4921, F (2,174) = 84.302, p , .05 with OCB. All interactions of the variables reported a significant effect. The study presented has profound implications for future studies regarding Organizational Citizenship Behavior in the Philippine context and may help recognize the importance of an individual's personality traits and work values as manifested in the workplace.
