Summary: | Social media has been gaining popularity in organisations as a recruitment tool due to its benefits and flexible adaptation to the changes in technology and Internet usage patterns. Besides taking into consideration the benefits that social media can offer to organisations, there is a need to consider whether job seekers will use social media to conduct their job search. In this paper, Generation Y job seekers were chosen as the target group as they live in the digital age and will eventually make up the bulk of the future workforce. Derived from the Theory of Planned Behaviour, this study developed a research model to examine and understand several factors that may affect Generation Y’s intention to use social media sites for their job search. |
