从女性主义批评视角重读《杀夫》英译本 = Feminist translation criticism on the English translation of Sha Fu

李昂的《杀夫》被誉为是经典的女性主义作品之一,揭示父权制社会对女性的压迫。本文以女性主义批评视角考察英译本《The Butcher’s Wife》,关注译者的性别意识在译本中的体现,是否赞同作者的女性主义观,如何在翻译中进一步强化或是削弱女性的声音。本文选取典型例句以及相对应的英译,通过分析词汇、句式以及句式结构来展开女性主义视角下的翻译批评。本文认为英译本的译者具有一定的性别意识,并大致认同作者的女性主义观,在翻译的过程中有采取增补、劫持的方式增强女性的声音同时加强了对男权的批判。但是,译者还是无法完全摒弃传统思想的影响,在部分内容的翻译中仍隐藏着男权中心思想。The Butcher’s W...

This dissertation studies the English Version of The Butcher’s Wife on the perspective of feminist translation criticism, and focuses on the embodiment of translator’s gender consciousness in the translated works; Whether the English translators agree with Li’s feminist views, and what translation strategies they have adopted to strengthen or weaken the voices of women. This paper chooses some typical examples and corresponding English translations, to carry on the feminist translation criticism through the analysis of vocabularies, sentences and sentence structure. This paper holds that the English translators of The Butcher’s Wife have a certain degree of gender consciousness, and generally agree with the author’s feminist views. Translators have adopted the strategies of supplementing and hijacking to strengthen voices of women and to criticize patriarchy.
