在全球化的信息时代，互联网的普及增强了知识与文化传播的有效性，许多优秀的国外影视作品也逐渐走进人们的视野。虽然英语是国际性语言，但并不是所有人在观看海外影视剧时都能完全理解台词的含义，因此字幕翻译起到非常重要的作用。视听作品是现今社会能够广泛传播文化的大众艺术形式，字幕则成为了中外文化沟通的桥梁。语言和文化是紧密相连的，任何一个民族都有其特定的禁忌对象，并反映到语言交际中。由于中西文化传承的不同，有些西方影视作品为了凸显人物性格，而存在大量的禁忌表达。在东方国家多数人都谈性色变，因此，性禁忌语可说是最为人所避讳的。 在面对不同的文化碰撞时，译者应该灵活恰当地运用翻译策略，以达到更好的翻译效果。 美国情景喜剧《破产姐妹》自2011年首播后，深受国内外观众的喜爱。影集里虽充斥着情色指涉语字幕，可是却极具娱乐价值。因此，本论文以网络字幕组汉译的《破产姐妹》第一季为研究对象，旨在分析影集中性禁忌语的翻译策略，深入勘查字幕组成员在翻译时如何处理不同形式的性禁忌语。In the era of globalization and advancement in technology, internet has enhanced the effectiveness of knowledge and cultural exchange. Excellent foreign audiovisual works are now easily accessible to people living across the globe. Despite English being an international language, there a still a group of audiences who does not understand the meaning of the foreign audiovisuals, therefore proper subtitle translation is very important. Popular audiovisual has enabled the widespread of cultures across today’s society and this is only possible with the subtitles; using it as a bridge across different cultures. Therefore, language and culture become inseparable as each nation has its own specific taboo, which are reflected in language communication. Furthermore, with the different historic backgrounds of Chinese and Western cultures, some Western audiovisuals utilized large number of taboo expressions in order to highlight the personalities of the characters. Whereas, in the Eastern countries, most people avoid the topic on sex, so sexual taboo can be said to be the most evasive topic. As such, when different culture meets, translators need to adopt appropriate translation strategies, in order to achieve better translation results. Since the premiere of the American sitcom "2 broke sisters" in 2011, it has been well received by domestic and foreign audiences. Although the subtitles of this drama is filled with sexual taboo words, it is humorous and entertaining. Therefore, this thesis is based on the season 1 of the "2 broke sisters" which was translated by the fan-subtitled. This thesis aims to analyze the translation strategies of the erotic reference. At the same time gaining an in-depth understanding how fan-subtitled deals with the subtitling of sexual taboo.
