Summary: | Earlier studies showed employee who engaged perform positive
contribution toward organizations effectiveness and also can be an impact
toward organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Employee engagement
(EE) also correlate in decreasing intention to quit (turnover intention), while
OCB has a negative correlation with the turnover intention. The aim of this
study was to knew whether the OCB can moderate or mediate the
employee engagement toward turnover intention. This study use the
Quantitative method. The collecting data used the questioner. This study
involved 94 employees. The analysis of this data used regression
equation. The results showed significant negative correlation between EE
and TI were R=0.226, significant correlation between EE and OCB were
R=0.464, while OCB and TI were R=0.304 in negative significance
correlation. The correlation while controlling EE and OCB toward TI were
0.157, which means OCB mediate the impact of employee engagement
toward turnover intention, by fulfilled all the requirement of mediator based
on Baron and Kenny (1986). OCB failed to met up the moderator
requirements with the significant correlation were 0.996 which significance
level larger than 0.05. |
